Mobility Works Inc., or Mobilitat, was founded by Cindy Johnson in Green River Wyoming in 1998 to provide affordable paratransit scheduling software for smaller, rural transit agencies. Since it’s inception it has grown to employ 7 full time staff, has over 60 installed systems, 3 editions of our software, including advanced capabilities to provide affordable software for systems as small as 2 vehicles and as large as 150!
Mobilitat’s mission is to empower Mobility Managers of small and medium transit systems through consulting services and innovative computer aided dispatching software and shared information. Rural and medium size urban Mobility Managers must be equipped with the knowledge and the technology in order to stay in business. The ultimate goal is to help them provide more rides (which equates to more revenue) from their fixed investment (vehicle fleet).
Why fight with clip boards and paper binders when you could work easier with Easy Rides-and provide more rides?
Easy Rides was designed to help Mobility Managers increase accountability, increase productivity and decrease the amount of time spent completing reports.
Easy Rides is a computer aided dispatching system developed by Mobilitat. It was designed for use by rural demand response transit systems serving the elderly, handicapped and the general public. The reporting capabilities of Easy Rides allow for easy completion of Federal, State and local reports. Larger transit agencies of up to 150 vehicles use our more comprehensive software, Easy Rides Plus. Easy Rides Plus can include GIS and Auto scheduling to facilitate the use of Mobile Data Terminals, Swipe Cards and Automatic Vehicle Locator Systems.
No ride notice… no problem! Easy Rides makes adding a ride at the last minute a snap. Allowing for the addition of last minute rides significantly increases productivity.
Mobilitat, Inc. has been in business since 1998 and is wholly owned by Cindy Johnson. The company was started after Cindy Johnson left the directorship of a Wyoming rural transit provider where she had provided 15 years of service. She met with developers both at the University of Wyoming and the University of Utah to expand on her idea of making an affordable easy to use software for small para-transit systems. Cindy knew that many caring professionals were spending too much time hand tabulating data for reports to different funding sources that had different requirements. Her hands-on experience, and keen understanding of both the transit customer and the transit provider helped to design a transportation software that is easy to learn and easy to operate.
Please join us in welcoming Brian Frank into the Mobilitat family as Director of Sales! Brian’s vast experience in the transit industry started in 1990 while attending college as a driver dispatcher for a small paratransit operation in Central Wisconsin. After college Brian and a business partner bought the company and built it into the premier specialized transit provider in the region.
Building this operation from several vehicles to well over 40 over the course of the next 10 plus years; it was time for a new challenge. Selling the business Brian then worked as a consultant to the industry providing his service to the leading Medicaid brokerage firm on a major start up project for the state of Virginia. After that and several other projects he spent the next 18 months working as a Paratransit Project Manager in Savannah, GA. With Brian’s operation and Transit Administrative experience he has found a home in the transit technology sector having spent the last three years in this new and exciting field. Brian resides in Las Vegas, NV
